Hummingbird on Penstemon BeardTongue at Schooner Creek Farm Annual Plant Sale

Looking back on my Spring 2014 via a quick pictorial.

The farm internship I’ve been working on in the county over, among the stunning hills of Brown County continues to be a source of inspiration to me. On Schooner Creek Farm, I enjoy tasks of all sorts, from picking sweet peas, to mulching basket willow. It’s an amazing and magical place, a family farm with heart, spirit, and abundance.

(Above) And from garden to table: This Spring I found a way to get more greens into our vegan meals by adding locally sourced or homegrown organic greens into the hummus blend! YUM! Try it with your favorite recipe.   (Below) Of course, no month or season, sometimes week or day is complete without some ACTION! Took a trip north with my favorite organizer to the Circle City (Indianapolis) and stood with a group of like-minded folks making a statement against the KXL Pipeline and for cleaner safer energy in Indiana and beyond. Later we canvassed for Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal Campaign. Become involved here: The Sierra Club continues to lead the way, and partner with many in tackling carbon pollution and climate disruption from our country’s dirtiest energy source, coal.
